Meet the Trustees

CCiS is guided by our select group of trustees. With a range of backgrounds in everything from accountancy to oncology their expertise is invaluable to ensuring the charity's success.

                                                             Jonathan Ripman - Chair of Trustees

Jonathan is our Chair of Trustees and has been with the charity since it was founded in 1998. Jonathan was a former partner in the Suffolk law firm Gotelee and steers CCiS into the future.

Peter Sledmere - Treasurer

Peter is a charted accountant who joined the charity in 2016 as the CCiS Treasurer.  He keeps the charity finances in excellent order.

Helen Porter -Trustee

Helen is an Account Director at Suffolk based PR & marketing agency Pier. With experience in PR, media and integrated marketing. She joined the charity in 2017 to help raise the profile and awareness of the charity.

John Button-Trustee

John is a consultant surveyor and project manager with Castons Chartered Surveyors based in Ipswich. He was the project partner for the building of the CCiS John Le Vay Cancer Information Centre at Ipswich Hospital and became a Trustee of the charity in 2004.

Dr Tim Cutler - Trustee

Consultant Dermatologist FRCP FLC                        

Tim has been a Trustee since 2012 who brings his global medical expertise to the board. A specialist in dermatology, he lectures on the topic throughout the world.

Dr. Liz Sherwin -Trustee

Liz is a senior oncology consultant in Ipswich Hospital and has also been part of the charity since 1998.  Liz brings her medical expertise to the board and is very much admired by all her patients. However, she is a little camera shy.

Barbara Hercliffe - Trustee

Barbara joined the charity in 1998 when she worked alongside John Le Vay as a senior radiotherapist.  She remains in NHS management and works from Cambridge.
